WHAT
WE DO

At Alafia, we envision a world in which every community in Togo thrives with access to quality education and healthcare, empowering individuals to overcome poverty and build a brighter future. Through our commitment to enhancing literacy, fostering learning opportunities, and advancing health initiatives, we aspire to create sustainable change.

OUR PROJECTS

At Alafia, we are dedicated to implementing various programs and projects aimed at enhancing education and healthcare access in Togo. Our initiatives are designed to empower individuals, especially those in underserved communities, to overcome poverty and build a brighter future.

Glasses Distribution

Learning Center

Alafia partners with Global Vision 2020 to provide students with eyeglasses using the USee Vision Kit™, a cost-effective way to deliver prescription glasses in just minutes. Teachers are trained to use the kits and then distribute glasses directly to their students. This program helps improve vision, support learning, and ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

Alafia is proud to support the Babade Learning Center, a community space in the Central region of Togo that provides students and community members with access to books, computers, and educational games. Originally established as a Peace Corps Small Grant project, the learning center has been fully renovated and is now open to the community. The center empowers students to improve literacy, develop critical thinking skills, and explore digital learning, while fostering a safe and engaging environment for lifelong learning.

Community health education
